Green Supply Chains

Decarbonizing supply chains is key to advancing Brazil's NDCs.

2030 Goals

01

Achieve full traceability of direct and indirect suppliers in priority value chains.

02

Scale national adoption of sustainable, deforestation-free, and low-emission certification standards across major export value chains such as soy, beef, cotton, coffee.

03

Increase public and private investment in green supply chains via credit lines, fiscal incentives, and concessional finance.

04

Mobilize climate-aligned investments into low-carbon industrial transformation, such as bioplastics, green hydrogen, regenerative agriculture.

Status

Moderate Progress

Brazil advances bioeconomy and low-emission value chains through Brazilian National Strategy of Bioeconomy and programs like Bioeconomia Brasil Sociobiodiversidade, PlanaFlor, and other concessional finance initiatives.

Programs such as Carbono + Verde and Selo Verde Brasil are scaling certification and carbon labeling in beef, coffee, cocoa, and other supply chains.

The National Circular Economy Strategy (ENEC) and Nova Indústria Brasil include decarbonization incentives, innovation in product design, and recycling mandates.

The Programa MOVER adds fiscal and financial incentives for green industrial development and low-emission mobility.
